I love photography but I also love video and mixing this two hobbies that I have it’s even better! Time-lapse is a technique that helps you mix this two interesting worlds. Basically it is shooting a bunch of photos of the same thing, spread out over a period of time, and smushing them together into one video that plays back in a shorter amount of time.

Here is my first attempt at doing a time lapse video!

Do you want to make your own Time-lapse video? Check out this great Tutorial.

Is it possible for developers, designers and marketers to talk about designs without wanting to kill each other?. Let’s see this 20 minutes video about design critiques and how to give and receive feedback by Scott Berkun.

A study at Stanford University demonstrates well that multi-tasking doesn’t work, even with college students

Yesterday I attended an interesting webinar by the UX company UserZoom.com so I would like to share with you the video and the link to the slides they showed during the event. The webinar was co-hosted with 3 special guests: Dave Garr Co-Founder, UserTesting.com – Andrew Mayfield, CEO, Optimal Workshop – Matt Paulus, Director of US Sales, UserZoom and it was great to hear Bill Albert, Director of Design & Usability Center at Bentley University and also author of the book “Measuring The User Experience” wich I highly recommend.

The web is becoming increasingly multilingual, with more and more users likely to demand services and products in their native tongue. Let’s see this following chart:

TNW says that there are over 400m Chinese language internet users, a number approaching the 530m English language internet users. Other languages have seen rapid growth in the same period, like Arabic and Russian.

Also, Portuguese is with Spanish the fastest growing western language, and following estimates by UNESCO it is the language with the higher potentiality of growth as an international communication language in Africa (south) and South America.

And why is this so important? On a global scale, a massive 72.4% of consumers said they were more likely to buy a product online if the information was available in their own language.

I always go to blogs or other websites searching for good articles about usability, technology etc… but not always I have the time to finish reading them. I have used “feed readers” but I’ve gotten tired of seeing so many posts. I just want to keep myself updated on the articles I like to read. I have used browser bookmarks and websites like del.icio.us but occasionally after a period of time, I can not find the article I was reading.
Luckily there are people who care about the needs of other users – like me! – and this a good example: “Readability” a great add-on for your browser that lets you save the article and read it later. But this is not all. You can read later and better by modifying the page design or sending it to your Kindle device. Just watch the video and see it for yourself!

I’m the happy owner of a Canon EOS T1i. Its a great camera for travelling because it’s not heavy at all and has a great quality on photos and videos. Here I uploaded a video I recorded in Barcelona a few weeks ago but as you can see when you move the camera a lot the image doesn’t look well. I still don’t know how to fix that or maybe is because the camera is too sensitive? Anyways I’m trying to find that answer..
The view is in low quality and I’m wandering if being a Vimeo Plus user gets even better. I love Vimeo, so simple, easy to use and clean!

Hi everyone! Well this is my new blog in english. Currently I’m having another blog wich is the one I have been using for long time called www.elrallador.info. My english grammar  is not perfect but this is a good way to improve it so if you see any mistakes please let me know.

Lately I have been travelling a lot so you will also see lots of videos, photos and comments about different places. Let’s get started!
